Soffront SF10 Outlook Integration Add-in for Microsoft Outlook 2007 & 2010

SF10 Outlook Integration Add-ins installation quick guide


  • Microsoft .Net Framework 4.0


  • Windows Installer 3.1


  • Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime (x86 and x64)


Note: If “SF” icon does not show in Outlook but show in the Taskbar, then you need to run the

“sfCRM.Outlook.vsto” file from the installed folder (i.e. C:\Program Files\Soffront Software\Soffront CRM Outlook Add-In).

Installation Steps:

  1. Download the installer file to the computer desktop.
  2. for 32 bit MS Office and B. for 64 bit Ms Office and C. For the installation patch.
  3. OutlookAddIn.Setup.x86.1.0.19.msi
  4. OutlookAddIn.Setup.x64.1.0.19.msi
  5. Outlook.vsto [optional]

** Check for Uninstall steps if you already tried the installation earlier.**

  1. Please save all work and close Outlook before starting the installation. As it requires to shutdown the machine after the install.
  2. Run the MSI installer. Follow all default parameters and click next.
  3. Restart your PC once, check if the SF icon is present in the Task-bar:

If SF icon is present on the Taskbar, open Outlook to check if the Soffront Outlook Add-in is present
4.a.2. If the Soffront Outlook Add-in is present, then right click on the SF icon on the Taskbar and click on Settings.

The CRM Configuration window should open up:

Fill up with the following information and Click on Test Connection
Product:       Soffront Enterprise
URL:             http://servername/sfwebservices/SOAPServices.asmx
Server:         Servername
Project:         Projectname
Login:           [login with Soffront CRM login name]
Password:     [login with corresponding password]After clicking on Test Connection, it will take some time to Authenticate and will give out the message: Test Connection Successful.Once done, click on the Save button to Save the information. The installation is complete.

*** If your installation is successful, skip the rest of the steps ***

4.b.1. If SF icon is present on the Taskbar, but the Soffront Outlook Add-in is not present in Outlook, then do the following:

  1. Close Outlook
  2. Go to the following location: \%dir%\Program Files\Soffront Software\Soffront CRM Outlook Add-In
  3. Run sfCRM.Outlook.vsto
Note: Please make sure that the file name has the extension .vsto before running the file In case the extensions of the file-names are not showing, then please do the following:On the folder, click Organize >> Click Folder and search options >> Click the View tab >>Scroll down to find and un-check the Hide extensions for known file types check box, and then click OK.
4.b.2. Restart Outlook and check to see if the Soffront Outlook Add-in is present. If present then the installation is successful.
*** If your installation is successful, skip the rest of the steps *** 
4.c. In case the Soffront Outlook Add-in is not present even after step.
4.b.2, then reach out to Soffront support at support@soffront.com
4.d. You may reach out to Soffront Support support@soffront.com any time if the SF icon does not appear in the Taskbar at all even after restart of your PC.

  1. Go to Control Panel Programs and Features to uninstall installed component.
  2. Outlook and Other office application must be closed.
  3. Uninstall sfcrm.Outlook and Soffront CRM Outlook Add-In for Outlook 2010×86. (refer below screen shot)
